Introduction
These terms and conditions govern your use of the Grow Jiu Jitsu website and your participation in our classes and programmes. By using our website or attending our classes, you agree to these terms.
Membership
- Membership fees are payable monthly by standing order on the 1st of each month.
- One month’s written cancellation notice is required, sent to growjiujitsu@hotmail.com.
- Membership fees are non-refundable except at our discretion.
- We reserve the right to change membership fees with reasonable notice.
Free trial
- New students are welcome to attend a free trial class (adults) or a 2-week free trial (juniors).
- Free trials are limited to one per person and are subject to availability.
- Participants must complete a registration form before attending.
Health and safety
- You train at your own risk. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a contact sport and injuries can occur.
- You must inform your instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns before training.
- You are responsible for ensuring you are fit to participate in classes.
- We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone we believe may be at risk of injury or may pose a risk to others.
Code of conduct
- All members and visitors must treat others with respect at all times.
- Bullying, aggressive behaviour, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the academy.
- Personal hygiene must be maintained. Clean gi/no-gi attire is required for every session.
- Fingernails and toenails must be kept short.
- No shoes on the mats.
Juniors
- Parents/guardians are responsible for their children before and after class.
- All junior coaches hold enhanced DBS checks.
- We follow safeguarding best practices in all junior sessions.
Photography and video
We may take photographs or video during classes and events for use on our website and social media. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform your instructor. We will never publish images of juniors without parental consent.
Liability
Grow Jiu Jitsu accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury sustained during training, except where caused by our negligence. We recommend that all members have appropriate personal insurance.
Website
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the information on our website is accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee its completeness or accuracy. Class times, pricing, and other details are subject to change.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
